Feldspar is generally used for three purposes :
In making the body composition of several types of procelain, china and earthenware and also in the preparation of glazes and enamel. As an important ingredient in the glass sand batch. As a bonding agent in the manufacture of bonded abrasives like wheels and discs of garnet, corundum, emery etc. The glass and ceramic industries are the major consumers of feldspar and account for 95% of the total consumption. In ceramic bodies, the main vitrifying (fluxing) agent is feldspar. The majority of white ware bodies contain good proportions of feldspar. It acts as a flux. In the ceramic industry, the flux is defined as that portion of the body which develops glass phase. This is provided mostly by feldspar.
Sodium Feldspar are use in different industries like glass, ceramic, dental porcelain, cement and other industries. A universal flux, sodium feldspar find their application in all ceramic bodies.
Mica is a mineral which combines in itself so many desirable properties for the qualifications imposed by the electrical industry. The most important property of Mica is its micaceous structure, that is, they have highly perfect basal cleavage which permits it to be split into sheets & films. Micas commonly occur as flakes, scales, or shreds. Sheet muscovite (white) mica is used in electronic insulators (mainly in vacuum tubes). Ground mica is used in paint, as joint cement, as a dusting agent, in well-drilling mud, and in plastics, roofing, rubber, and welding rods. The platelet particle shape of Mica offers excellent flexural modulus properties, improved heat resistance, electrical properties and mechanical properties. General reinforcing property and dimensional stability also adds to Mica's advantage. It's major use are in Polyolefins.

In industry it is mainly classified into hard and soft and fibrous and flaky. It is a platy mineral used for its reinforcing properties. Talc is commonly used as the functional filler for the plastics, and as an extender & pigments for paints. Finely ground talc is widely used in the polypropylene industry for its reinforcing properties. In plastics it adds to the stiffness, dimensional stability, flexural modulus & resistance to creep. It also contributes to good flow, surface appearance and easier machinability of polymers. In plastics, the primary use area of talc is in Polypropylene (PP).
In cements and mortars, production of lime, limestone is used in the steel industry; glass industry, ornamental stone, chemical and optical uses and as mineral specimens.
